Model Information

What is TF?

In a nutshell……… (Modeling) Time For Images

TF is a normal arrangement in the Photographer/Model relationship. A model poses for a photographer in exchange for images. Both the photographer and the model use the images for their own portfolios. Normally the photographer will be the one  putting in more work  since  ― in addition to taking the images ― he/she will then have to do the post-production work. (digital editing.)

Aspiring models often believe it is great to receive a copy of all the images taken right after the “shoot.” But that is not always in the model’s best interest. A model who is building a portfolio should seek quality….not quantity.

A good photographer will take the time to edit the photos and provide the model with a selection of the very best. A good photograph requires work after it has been taken. No self-respecting photographer wants to release images that are anything but perfect. From a large number of photos taken during a shoot, only a few will meet the demanding criteria a photographer should impose on himself

I am always willing to help established models expand their portfolios or aspiring models to begin theirs through TF Work. But even if you have no modeling aspirations but have a certain “Look” that I could utilize in my portfolio ― I will consider offering you a portfolio-style photo shoot and provide you with your best images. Those who have creative themes/ideas/outfits or suggest unique locations will always have first priority.

There are only two basic requirements for TF work; you MUST be 18 or older (and have proof to confirm it); you must be willing to sign a Model Release Form.

Scheduling Procedure

The only way to schedule a shoot with me is to call and speak with me over the phone. If I have offered you— or you are seeking  —  a TF Shoot.....then you also have to convince me you are SERIOUS about it. I say this because any Photographer that offers TF work has the same problem — which is: Fifty-percent of models who book a TF Shoot are No Shows. They change their minds, they get cold feet, someone talks them out of it, yada, yada, yada.... The bad part is they do not have the courtesy to call and cancel.....they just don't show. So....I have developed a simple procedure that will help me identify those that are not serious.

Once we talk and book a shoot date I will request that you call, text or email me 24 hours before the shoot and confirm. Then again 2 hours before the shoot I will call you for a final confirmation. If you do not answer the call or respond with 15 minutes.....I know what is up. This is a business to me and my time is as valuable to me as yours is to you. So please extend the same courtesy you would like in return. If you know you are not going to go through with the shoot....call, text or email me and cancel.

Escorts

You are free to bring an escort with you if you must,  but you must inform me before hand. If you do bring an escort to the shoot he/she must remain at a distance from where we are shooting. It has been my experience that most escorts distract the model in one way or another and this compromises the integrity of the shoot.

I have had to stop a few shoots because the escorts were being obnoxious and or childish. You should understand that I am as leery of the escort/friend/boyfriend-manager you bring as you may be of me.

I understand you are concerned for your safety. If you would like references....ask and I will provide them. I want you to feel safe and secure with me because it is only then that you will be able to put all of your effort into what we are try to accomplish — which is — to create some great images together.

Transportation

If you require transportation to and from our shoot, I will be more than happy to provide it.

Shoot Location, Shoot Themes, Make Up Artists & Wardrobe

Most of the work I do is done "on location." Mostly outdoors. I do have a studio but I limit the work I do there because I prefer working outdoors.

If you have a location in mind....please run it by me. I am always looking for awesome locations, especially abandoned buildings, old grain mills, cement plants, etc.....so if you know of one please share.

I am also always interested in Shoot Themes. So if you have an idea, no matter how crazy it may be....run it by me.

I have some wardrobe such as swimsuits, heels, dresses, skirts blouses so if yours is limited, tell me and we will put something together.

A word about make-up. I do not provide a MUA (make-up artist) for TF work. Most of you are pretty good with make-up but let me suggest this. Macy's and Dillards have Cosmetic Departments with Personnel who do Make-Up. You must select one of the different Brands of Make Up and then make an appointment. They will do your make up and the only requirement is you purchase a couple of items. Usually runs about $30.00 but in addition to having your make-up done you walk away with a couple of items you might need anyway.

Finally

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. If you are considering working with me and actually read all of this....double thanks. I am very easy to get along with, great sense of humor. I look forward to working with you and if there is something I have not covered which you would like to know....well.....ask me.
